UniPod is a multidisciplinary innovation hub at Makerere University, established in partnership with UNDP under the Timbuktoo Initiative. It provides resources, training, and facilities to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and impactful solutions for societal challenges.
UniPod is open to university students and faculty, youth innovators outside the university, and private sector collaborators. It is designed to support innovators across disciplines to develop and commercialize their ideas.
UniPod is equipped with a Makerspace, Design Lab, Textile Lab, CNC Workshop, Collaborative Spaces, and a Technology Transfer Office. These facilities enable prototyping, product development, and research commercialization.
You can participate by attending training programs, collaborating on projects, or using our facilities to prototype your ideas. We also partner with government, private sector organizations, and development partners. Visit our Get Involved page to learn more.
